About Trevor Farias

Home cook and lifelong recipe collector. The recipes here are written for ordinary home kitchens, in plain language, with real measurements and notes on what to look for at each step.

How recipes are written

Every recipe on Trevor's Kitchen is written for a regular home kitchen with a regular oven. Measurements are given by weight where it matters, cup measures are included for convenience, and any step that tends to go wrong gets a note explaining what to look for.

How this site is organized

Each recipe page opens with a short summary, then the tips and background, and finishes with the classic recipe card. If you only want the recipe, press the Jump to Recipe button at the top of any page. The Print button prints just the card.

Editorial standards

  • Recipes are chosen because they are dishes people cook at home again and again, and each one is written to answer the questions that usually come up: why a step matters, what the food should look like when it is ready, and what to do if something goes wrong.
  • Safe internal temperatures follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidance. Where a recipe suggests a lower temperature for texture, such as medium-rare steak or salmon, it says so plainly.
  • Each recipe shows the date it was last updated. When a recipe is corrected or improved, that date changes.
  • There are no sponsored recipes. Ads on the site are provided by Google and are always labeled; they never influence what is written.

About the photos

The recipe photos are licensed from talented photographers on Pexels, and each recipe page credits its photographer. They show each dish as it is typically served, so your version may look a little different.

Corrections and questions

If you find a mistake, or a recipe did not work the way you expected, please get in touch. Corrections are made promptly and reader questions often become new FAQ answers on the recipe.

Nutrition information

Nutrition figures are estimates calculated from standard ingredient data. They will change with the brands you use and any substitutions you make.
