Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
This policy explains what information Trevor's Kitchen (trevorfarias.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. Trevor's Kitchen is a recipe website run by Trevor Farias. You can read every page without creating an account, and the site does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, the servers that host this site (Vercel) record basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page visited and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working and are kept only for a short period.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which recipes people read and how the site is used, for example how many people visit a page, how long they stay and whether the page loads quickly. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information, which is reported to us in aggregate form. It does not tell us who you are. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
To help cover the costs of running the site, Trevor's Kitchen shows ads served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google, before personalized advertising cookies are used.
Recipe ratings
You can rate a recipe from one to five stars. When you do, a small cookie is saved in your browser so the site remembers your rating and you can change it later instead of voting twice. Ratings are stored only as running totals for each recipe; they are not linked to you. Your IP address is used briefly to limit how many votes can be sent in a short time, which stops automated spam, and is not stored with your rating.
Cookies and how to control them
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. This site uses cookies for the purposes described above: analytics, advertising and remembering your recipe rating. Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies in their settings. If you block cookies, the recipes will still work normally; only the rating feature will forget your previous vote.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have the right to ask what personal information a website holds about you, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. Trevor's Kitchen does not sell personal information. Because the site does not collect names, emails or accounts, it generally holds no information that identifies you personally; advertising and analytics choices are best managed with the Google links above. For any other request, please get in touch.
Links to other websites
Recipe pages occasionally link to other websites, such as the photographers who took the recipe photos. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
